I had to check both "expensive toys" options because I have mostly found that it's worth at least not going for the lowest rung on the quality ladder, you know? Silicone ain't cheap, but it's awesome, etc.. And I have this vibrator--the first relatively expensive toy I ever bought myself--that just, I don't know, I think it might actually end up lasting forever? Plus several other things that remain absolutely worth their higher price. On the other hand, I laid out a chunk of money for another silicone vibrator once, same company even, and the motor gave out super fast. *shrugs*

What I find ridiculous are the new lines of SUPER high end toys, like $1500 platinum vibrators or whatever. Some that aren't made from, say, a precious metal, but they're still hundreds of dollars. That just seems unnecessary, and I can't imagine they're really that much more awesome than my $75 or $100 toys, you know?

i have one of those too! i don't know if it's actually that sturdy or if i just use it less often because i don't want to wear it out, though.
